Sunrise at Sierra Point in Brisbane

The weather is slowly changing.  The summer fog will give way to the winter rains. The other day, before heading off to the farmer’s market, we drove a couple miles south of San Francisco to Brisbane to watch the sunrise.

Glorious color

Sierra Point is a small peninsula that juts out into the Bay.  The San Francisco follows the waterfront and there is a nice small pier, next to the yacht club, that is open to the public.  From there, we watched a magnificent sunrise.

San Francisco covered in fog

The fog never lifted over San Francisco. In the city, it was cold, grey and drizzling for the rest of the day. It’s amazing how just two miles away was a fantastic sunrise and light show.
