I was going through Lastech’s photos and I found these. I hope you enjoy them.
Yesterday, Lastech and I got up very early. We went out to watch the sunrise, raid the donut shop, and then go see a lot of old cars. Jimmy’s Old Car Picnic at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park is a feast for the car lover’s eyes. The cost was $40 to show a car and free for anyone walking in to enjoy looking at them.
According to the website:
Jimmy’s Annual Old Car Picnic started in 1988 when classic car-loving friends got together in Golden Gate Park to celebrate Jimmy O’Keefe’s birthday. It has since grown into the largest and longest-running show of its kind in San Francisco and includes cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all types, as well as a good number of oddballs….
From the beginning, Jimmy’s Old Car Picnic has been a benefit for people with Developmental Disabilities. The proceeds go to The Janet Pomeroy Center and The Portrero Hill Neighborhood House in San Francisco.
The following video is a slideshow of photos taken by Lastech and I.
Darn it. It’s Terrible Tuesday and instead of posting what I had intended, I got distracted. I went to YouTube to listen to some music. It was a bad move. I decided to listen to the Imperial March from Star Wars in the style of Beethoven. That led me to another video, which led me to yet another.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I was digging through some photos and found a sampling worthy of sharing.
Lastech is the first one up. He took the next two photos.
The fun thing about driving around in San Francisco is finding streets we haven’t explored. That way, there’s something new around every corner. That’s how we found these colorful houses.
Here are a few photos that don’t fall into a convenient category. I adore them and think they should be seen though. 🙂
The first one is taken by flumptytail. She’s the mum of a bazillion kitties and I just had to post it here. One word. WOW!
The rest of the pics have been taken by Lastech. It’s an odd lot and are unidentified.
As I mentioned before, Lastech is now working a graveyard shift and we’re adjusting. It’s not a bad thing. 🙂 Lastech has managed to come home with some very nice pics. Here are a few of them. ALL pics in this post were taken by him.
Now for the bonus pics. Lastech was driving through the neighborhood on his way home from work and had a WTF moment. He couldn’t resist taking pics of the lawn mowers in action.
