Wednesday Walk in the Rain

Winter is coming soon and with it will come the rains. I love the rain. That might be because I grew up in the desert, but no matter. Hubby and I are just as happy to walk in the rain as we are walking in the sun. Actually we prefer the rain

Strybing Arboretum is a wonderful botanical garden. When it’s raining, it’s peaceful and quiet and there are far less people. It is located in Golden Gate Park. It is also where a group of wildlife rescuers managed to capture a hawk that had been shot in the head with a nail gun. This story, with a happy ending, can be read here.

Here are a few photos we took that day.

  1. what beautiful shots. everything around here is brown and dead due to the drought that some political parties do not believe humans had a hand in.

if i could have seen the real san francisco, like maybe with you and yours, i might have enjoyed it. someday i’ll go back but i’ll have to drive. tsa is never getting its grubby paws on me again. LOL

  2. It was sad for all San Franciscans when the name of Strybing Arboretum was changed and then a $7 admission fee was instituted after the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society payed lobbyist Sam Lauter to lobby the Supervisors.

It is an incredibly corrupt city!

    1. Show me a city that isn’t corrupt. I have lived in several and they are all just as bad. That $7 admission applies only to out-of-towners, not locals. I don’t like the name change either, but I can live with it.
