Caturday: Heat and parking

Yahoo! It’s Caturday yet again and yes, we’re having a heat wave. Of course, this is normal for Concord, but not for us, we’re having to adjust to temps that are 30 degrees warmer than what we’re used to dealing with. Thank Cthulu for air conditioning.

Life in The Endurance is coming along nicely. We are slowly emptying out the storage unit and getting things stowed away. The pointy eared people are adjusting and OMG! there’s parking in Concord!

Sorry about that. When one is used to hunting for parking and then making highly technical maneuvers in order to use it, open spaces like that are a wonder. Saving time and gas enables us to accomplish more each day. When we find a way to power The Endurance’s environmental controls with tiny cat farts, we will have it made.

Yes, it’s now time for the pointy eared people.

  1. Glad to see an update! I love the pictures of the kittehs — they are looking calm and happy. The cat tower is a good idea to help them get their exercise.

We have visitors right now who will be with us for a couple of weeks. I posted a blog entry about them. My kitteha are keeping their distance from them and the dogs are pretending they don’t even exist.

Wow, that is quite a difference in temperature! Our temps have been in the high 80’s and low 90’s lately and I thought THAT was hot. We’ve also been getting quite a bit of rain for the past few days. It doesn’t rain a whole lot or for the whole day but just enough intermittent rain to make it feel really swampy. I went to dinner with a friend last night and when we came out of the air-conditioned restaurant it was so muggy outside that his glasses fogged up completely.

    1. Oh dear. We had rain a couple of days ago. It rained steady for a few hours. I loved it. Of course, that left things hot and muggy. I won’t complain though. The rain was really needed. I’m now off to see your blog. 🙂
