Caturday: “Heeeere’s Johnny!”

Yes, I forgot to brain. I had folded up my exercise machine, aka Gazelle Supra, and Lastech was taking it out to the porch so that I had more room indoors for all the packing we’re doing. He was wearing slippers. I was barefoot. I stepped out the door for 3 seconds and the wind blew it shut. It was locked.

I didn’t have a key. Lastech didn’t have a key.

The landlords don’t have a key. We pondered the situation. Then we had the only bright, shining (?) idea anyone might have in that situation.

It took Lastech about five kicks to crack the paneling (with a lot of cussing) and I punched through the rest of the way. My bad. My very bad and the kittehs weren’t amused.

In addition, PG&E rang our doorbell this morning. There was a major leak (their words) downstairs where the meters are. Now I’m sitting around waiting for the service guy to come turn my gas back on and make sure all is well. I just love having a heart attack before my first cup of coffee. Aaaarrrggghhhh! On side of better news, it looks like we might be moving sometime in the next 90 days or so. 🙂

Yes, it’s Caturday and now it’s time for the pointy eared people to shine

Now for something hilarious. This raccoon wish wash everything you love. LOL I don’t like the very end, but it didn’t seem to affect him adversely.

  1. Oh, no! It’s too bad you haven’t taught the pointy-eared ones how to unlock a door. That has only happened to me once. In the first couple years of living in my house, I went out the back door to shovel snow. It was freezing cold out and the door slammed shut behind me. I didn’t realize it had locked until I was done shoveling and tried to go back inside to get warm. I ended up grabbing a hammer from the garage and pounding on the door knob until I broke it and the door opened. Lucky for me, the lock on the door knob was the only one that was locked, the deadbolt has to be manually locked from the inside and that one was still intact. So, all I had to do was replace the door knob afterwards – which I did myself for about $10.

Love the pictures! Is the last one a pic of Miss Jenny reaching out to pat Titan on the head or is she just stretching?

I also love that video of the raccoon. He obviously thought the woman’s shoes needed washing! LOL.

    1. I was amazed that the cell phone in the video still worked. It was too funny. We are extra careful now when we go outside.

It would be nice if our critters could unlock the door, but they wouldn’t if they could. They avoid the door. When they walk past it, they scoot quickly. As for Miss Jenny, she was just stretched out on the top level of the cat tower. That seems to be her spot these days.
