Caturday: Happy and sad

I’m sorry Caturday is up late. We switched from graveyard shift to day shift and back again so it got awkward. We spent yesterday afternoon attending a graduation party for the son of a friend. It was lovely.

Before we get to the pointy eared people, we want to take a moment to remember and honor constables Douglas James Larche, David Ross, and Fabrice Georges Gevaudan. These three members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police lost their lives much too soon. We’ll not dignify their killer by naming him. Why does it matter? Moncton, located in New Brunswick, Canada is only a wee bit bigger than my hometown and we have friends there. Those friends weren’t just there. They were in the lockdown area and much closer than we care to imagine. You can read about it here. We are happy that our friends are fine, but sad at the loss that their community must endure.

Now it’s time for the pointy eared people

  1. Sorry to hear about those deaths. That’s really awful.

That lime green mouse really gets around, doesn’t it? I love all of those kitteh pictures. It looks like Titan has really settled in. How long has he been with you now – has it been a year already?

I leave on my trip on Monday. I did laundry and packed my bag today. Tomorrow I will clean the house and give the dogs their baths.

Hope the rest of your weekend is super!

    1. Titan has been here for more than a year now. He’ll still smack the dickens out of us if pet anything other than his head and cheeks, but he’s also affectionate. We’ve learned to read his body language. He’s downright evil when he’s begging for food though.

Do have a wonderful time on your trip. I really look forward to seeing the pictures. 🙂

  2. Hi from Canada! I am on the train going from Quebec City to Montreal. The scenery is really beautiful. We picked the perfect day for travel. It is cloudy and raining a little bit. I sent you a postcard yesterday from Quebec City.
