An amazing and miraculous event occurred. Grumpy Butt (aka Titanescu) forgot to be grumpy for a bit. It only lasted for about 5 minutes, but it was a major breakthrough. It has taken 6 mos. to get him to this point.
The picture isn’t the best, but since Miss Jenny runs from the camera, I had to use my phone. 🙂
he’s a character! i really LIKE this kitty!
In spite of being grumpy, I think Grumpy Butt is really happy here. Watching the subtle changes in his personality has been fun. 🙂
Awww. That is so precious. I knew Jenny would win him over sooner or later. I love the face he’s making in that picture. It seems to be saying, “Okay, you cute little snowshoe kitteh — I’m going to put up with you for a little while but I reserve the right to hang onto my tough guy rep.”
No matter how gruff their personality might be when they first enter a household, once they know they’re in a safe place and that they will always be treated with love, their hard shell will start to melt a bit. It’s always nice to see it happen. (I’ve been watching Pearl do the same thing.) 🙂
He’s our basement kitty and he’s grumpy, but he doesn’t have an evil bone in his body. He’s never been a bully or been mean. He currently curled up under hubby’s chin sleeping. 🙂 I was so thrilled to see that little bit of snuggling. As near as I can tell, he really wants it. He’s just not sure how to do it without the grumpies. He’s learning. 🙂
You know, I’ve met hundreds of black cats at the shelter in all the time I’ve been working there and I have yet to meet one who was mean. I ALWAYS fall in love with the black cats because they’re so darned sweet — even the ones who’ve had a hard life.
I’ve met a lot of cats. I’ve never met a mean kitty either. Even when hubby ticked off Grumpy and he hissed at me (complete with flying spittle) there was nothing mean about him. Grumpy? sure. I get grumpy too. LOL It thrills us that he’s relaxing and enjoying his life now.
