Shoreline Park and Rengstorff House in Mountain View

Previously, I posted some of our sunrise photos from Shoreline Park in Mountain View. Part one is here and part two can be found here. This time around, I’m sharing photos from elsewhere in the park: Rengstorff House and the beautiful and historic area around it .

Rengstorff House is a part of Shoreline at Mountain View Park.  Originally located about a mile away, it was purchased by the city of Mountain View and moved to its present location.  It was fully restored and dedicated at a public facility by the Mountain View city council in 1991.

Rengstorff House was built around 1864 in the Italianate style. It features 12 rooms with 10 foot ceilings and a widow’s walk on the roof. It can be rented for private functions such as weddings. We were not there on a tour day, so we didn’t see the inside.

Here are our photos of the Rengstorff House and surrounding area.
