I need a lot more practice, but I managed to grab a few night shots of the Embarcadero and San Francisco’s skyline from the pier.
Terrible Tuesday: Music Edition
It’s Terrible Tuesday and I went off in search of a bit of music. I was in luck. I had plenty to choose from. Hopefully, if anyone is having a terrible Tuesday, this will bring a smile to their face. Singing animals can always make me smile.
Here is a great bit of music from Litterbox, the cat rock band.
Just to show that she can compete with cats, here is a cute dog named Lila singing along to the radio.
But wait! There’s more!
This is Lolita singing Bodies by Drowning Pool.
Last, but certainly not least is Prince, the singing toad.
Manic Monday Mish Mash
I was digging through some photos and found a sampling worthy of sharing.
Lastech is the first one up. He took the next two photos.
The fun thing about driving around in San Francisco is finding streets we haven’t explored. That way, there’s something new around every corner. That’s how we found these colorful houses.
It’s Caturday
Golden Gate Park, Stow Lake and a Waterfall
One of our favorite spots in the city is Stow Lake. Located in the middle of Golden Gate Park, Stow Lake is definitely one of the nicer features. Lastech took some nice photos last time we strolled around it.

Manic Monday and Yoda
Not long ago, we went to explore the Presidio in San Francisco. Located on the North East corner of the Presidio is Letterman Digital Arts Center, home of Industrial Light & Magic and LucasArts. The campus is beautiful with very nice landscaping touches.
Of course, going there meant paying a visit to Yoda.
Annnnd, since it’s Monday and everyone needs a good laugh, here’s a Star Wars video by OkGo.
Friday Night Cat Blogging With a Doggie story
And now for the “aw” factor. According to the AP:
A dog left for dead on a railway track in Poland has been given a second chance at life thanks to the kindness of a local animal shelter and vet. The 4-month old can now get around with wheels replacing her paralyzed back legs. (Aug 18)
Since I’ve been harping on owls lately, I thought everyone might get a laugh out of this pic.
Nighttime at the Palace of Fine Arts
Lately, we’ve been getting up well before sunrise, so I took advantage of it and tried for a few night shots. That was the same trip where we found the owls.
It’s JBoD’s Birthday!
One year ago today, we made our first post, Welcome to JBoD. The blog has been a work-in-progress ever since.
For those who may not know, jellybeansofdoom is named after our kitties and their jellybeans, that come with claws attached.
These beans belong to a very sweet natured, but very paranoid kitty named Tito. Tito is a domestic shorthair and we found him (as a kitten) at the SFSPCA. It was love at first sight.
These beans, on the other hand, belong to the class clown named Kitsune. Kitsune is fearless to the point of lunacy. We would find him hanging from the chandelier if we had one.
Kitsune, also called Kitsy or Mazuzu Whang? has no baby picture as he was an adult when we brought him home. His wrinkly breed is called Sphynx.
Of course, none of this would have happened without the bestest kitty on the planet. We lost him to lymphoma a couple of years ago, but he is still a part of our lives.
A friend made this for us. It’s so very true.
