Summertime in San Francisco means a lot of fog. It also means a good sunrise on occasion.

As I mentioned before, Lastech is now working a graveyard shift and we’re adjusting. It’s not a bad thing. 🙂 Lastech has managed to come home with some very nice pics. Here are a few of them. ALL pics in this post were taken by him.
Now for the bonus pics. Lastech was driving through the neighborhood on his way home from work and had a WTF moment. He couldn’t resist taking pics of the lawn mowers in action.
Not long ago, we got up very early. We headed out to Twin Peaks for the sunrise. With an elevation over 900 feet, it’s a beautiful place to watch the sun come up. Usually, at this time of year, the peaks are shrouded in fog. We were lucky this time.
The other day, I posted some photos of San Francisco at Night. We went back to Bernal Heights for a sunrise. It was worth the trip.
The hills of San Francisco, with the Bay to the East and Pacific to the West, offer many opportunities to enjoy magical beginnings and ends. As in dreams, many of those locations reveal themselves at the end of winding stairways, as unexpected treasures, often breathtaking.
People who live here share these places and moments with reverence and the instant friendliness of those who respect life in all its forms: their four legged friends abound and welcome newcomers and natives alike.
We took the following pictures at sunrise, a wonderful beginning to yet another day. Bernal Heights is located just south of San Francisco’s Mission District.  For more photos and a bit of news about the area, visit Bernalwood, a local blog.
