Happy Mother’s Day to all. You don’t have to have children to be a mom. You don’t have to be a woman either. 🙂 There are plenty of men who are doing the jobs of both parents. Like a good girl, I called my mom this morning. She’s having a nice day and I’m glad. Daddy was in the hospital a couple of times with week with some serious health issues. He seems to have had a mini stroke. Mom said he was much better this morning and they went out to breakfast with friends.
The adventures with dad are why I totally forgot about Caturday, so I’ll try to make up for it now. Lastech and I aren’t doing anything special today. He had to work, so he’s sleeping now. I did roast a boneless pork loin though as it’s a treat for me.
Anyhow, here are the pointy eared people.
Ze Frank usually makes me laugh. This time he just says something that I have been able to relate to in the past.
So sorry to hear your Dad is unwell… my biggest hopes that he perks up and everything is good for him. It gets scary when they reach the age when you start worrying about their health and well being.
I actually luck out this year… even though I worked the early shift today at the restaurant of course, my Mom and Dad are visiting us for the wedding so I’ll actually have my Mother around for a Mother’s Day for a change. We’ll probably take them out for dinner later and wine and dine them in proper style. 😉
I’m so glad you get to spend some time your folks. Please wish you mom and Happy Mother’s Day for us. I need to get back home. I’m holding off for the moment, but I’m ready to go if need be. My dad is 85 and mom is 82. They’ve been pretty darned healthy over the years which is good. 🙂
happy to hear your father is doing better. i hope he continues to improve and stabilize. happy mother’s day to you and Lastec!
Thank you Labby. I had a nice quiet day. I read a book while hubby slept. 🙂 I hope your Mother’s Day was nice too.
I sure hope your dad is doing MUCH better now! Are your parents anywhere near the fires I heard about this morning on the news? I sure hope not.
I love your pics of the kittehs. I finally updated my blog a few days ago with some kitteh pictures. Things have been REALLY busy at work but I can now see a small light at the end of the tunnel. I will be doing another post soon with pictures from an auction (to benefit the local wildlife clinic) that I went to recently.
My parents are about 120 miles ESE of the fires. The smoke will blow in their direction at some point, but that’s all. I have quite a few friends in the area though. They’re ok for now. Dad seems to be doing better every day. I used to call once a week, but I’m calling daily now.
