We are still getting rain off and on which is great. California could do without the mudslides, but the rain is surely needed. Tito and Miss Jenny do NOT like the sound of rain on the skylight. They tend to run and hide. We managed to keep them in the room with us instead. Still, we managed to get a few pics.
Speaking of Miss Jenny and the miracle. I’m not sure it was as minor as I first thought. Miss Jenny was fairly feral when we adopted her. I don’t think she was handled much when she was young, so as a result, while she loves good scritchings, she won’t be picked up and she’s not a lap kitty. She runs and hides when we’re moving around the apartment or if strangers are present. The other night, she crept up on the bed between Lastech and I. She got fairly close to Titanescu and then settled down to sleep. It was a first. While she’s been known to go into a blanket cave made by Lastech, she’s never slept on top of the bed.
Yay for you guys! Nice to see she’s getting comfy enough to share. I love kitty snuggles, and thankfully our Ting-Ting is a terrible little cuddlebug. She usually sleeps on the foot of our bed at night, sometimes on top of the quilt on our trunk at the foot of the bed, but whenever she can, she loves sneaking in between us to claim a space to sleep in ready reach for any opportunistic petting she might get. Failing that, it’s not uncommon for her to snuggle against the small of my back, like some crazy purring massage pad…but with teeny lil’ claws… 😉
Aw, I’m glad that Ting-Ting loves to sleep with you. Back when we had The Boober), he loved to sleep against the small of my back or right behind my knees. However, it happened UNDER the covers. The Boober was our Burmese that we lost to Lymphoma. Cancer sucks.
Titanescu sleeps in between us. We tend to roll over carefully as he might hiss or swat at us. Tito sleeps by our feet. We try not to kick him off the bed. If Miss Jenny joins the crowd it will be interesting.
We’re terminal cat people. LOL
It’s funny, because Carolyn wasn’t really a “cat person” before we became a couple. She’s always preferred dogs… having had a couple when she was younger.
Ting-Ting and Goober before her wormed their way into her heart and now… even though Ting-Ting is definitely still “my baby”, she’s just as likely to snuggle up with Carolyn as well who has come to enjoy it as much as I do.
That’s really wonderful that Jenny finally decided to sleep with the rest of the family. Some kittehs do it right from the start (Pearl) and others never do (Mabel). Cora is extremely territorial about my bed and, although she will let Mabel get on the bed during the day, she won’t let her up there at night. Maybe someday…. 🙂
Oh, I do hope so.
