Birdies at dawn

We went to Stow Lake at dawn to see what critters were lurking in the fog. It’s very peaceful, but not exactly quiet. The birds were noisy.

And now for the bonus pic from Lastech. This was also taken at dawn, so it fits the theme. 🙂

  1. Noisy…probably the Jays….they are a raucous crew! Thanks for the cool fog pics. Been almost too hot at the cabin.

    1. I’m sorry it’s been so warm. I’m glad you’re having a good time though (except for the gnats with the urge to swim in your wine). That morning all the birds were noisy. Even the hummers were having dogfights over the flowers. 🙂

  2. Yeah… I just love the dawn too. Perfect time to catch the wildlife if you are careful. We also get oodles of critters in the park when we’re at Tai-Chi practice. The Canadian geese are soooo huge in numbers this year!!

Probably also explains the coyote we saw sneaking around one morning a week or so ago. That’s a first for us…

    1. We had actually gone out hoping for a coyote sighting, but I got distracted by the birds at the lake. We went back to the lake the next day and I got a bunch more pics. That will be the next post. 🙂

  3. Awww. That is the most adorable duck/duckling picture! Birds sure ARE noisy. Just last evening, I sat out on the deck trying to read a book until the sun went down and it was hard to concentrate on my reading with all the noise the birds were making. I finally had to give up and just watch them for awhile.

BTW, I finally updated my blog with pictures from my trip. 🙂

    1. I went to see your pics (and commenting) before replying over here. Little ducky really was a cutie. I went back the next day and got a pic of her and sis and brother being adorable. I’ll post those soon. 🙂
